Rickie and Liz took me to York a week ago and I thought ‘hang on, this is the beginning of November’, but actually the weather all the time was mild and dry.
We stayed on a Caravan Club site called Beechwood Grange which had all facilities. And it was only 1&1/2 miles from a Park and Ride terminus so R&E would dress me for the road each morning and park me in a designated campervan area and get the bus into the centre of York. So while I chatted to the other vans R&E visited the Minster, Railway Museum, old Barley Hall, and of course - the shops.
We had travelled down on the A1/A1M but returned via the A19, and while I was puffing a bit I was even overtaking lorries and the odd slow cars.
I’m off to Linda’s now so will speak to you later. Buttercup.
