That Rickie and Liz took me away again in the mobile tin box! Liz drove all the way to North Berwick and onto a site called Tantallon Park, which my friends Sue and Julie know about. It’s a great site with views out to sea including the Bass Rock, but dog, was it windy – it blew a gale for three days.
Anyway, it was nice and snug in the tin box and the wind gently rocked it and me off to sleep at night. One day everything got packed up and I thought oooh, we’re going home. But no, we drove a hen run length to a place called Tesco and then into the town. We walked along the streets (lots of interesting smells) to the Seabird Centre, but dogs are not allowed in. Why not, we canines are not nearly as smelly as people! Anyway, we had another night on the site and then we did come home. Aaaaah………
A week or two ago Sue came over to my house and took me to hers, which I really enjoy because I get spoilt rotten by Sue and Julie (but don’t tell them that). I thought oh ay, that will be Rick and Liz off to a place they call abroad. But no, I heard later that Rick had gone into a hospital (the BGH?) to have his plumbing readjusted, and was there for a few days. So Liz and Realliewheelie, a daughter who lives in Birmingham, took Buttercup (that’s the name the silly humans call the tin box) to a site right in Melrose town, which made visiting Rick in another tin box so much easier. They could only stay there one night so moved to another place called Springfield which was about 2 miles from Melrose, so still easy to visit the Rick.
Anyway we are all home now and Rick is getting better by the day – no wonder - he is waited on hand and foot by Liz! I overheard Rick say that he is keeping a pained face on so that the attention will last longer – chancer!
