Corrie and Buttercup

I never know what is going to happen next! For example, last week Liz put my harness on and I thought ‘ooooh goodie, walkies’ But no, I was marched out the house and into this big white box thing which Liz and Rickie kept calling Buttercup. What!?! It looked nothing like a flower to me.

Anyway, the engine started up and we were all off down the road and I’m thinking well, I can’t be off to the vet or those nice Sue and Julie (who spoil me rotten, but don’t tell R&E) in a ruddy great pantechnicon like this, even if it is called a buttercup.

After about three days we arrived at this place called Dunning in Perthshire, whatever that is. But it was attractive even if there were lots more of these white boxes spread around the field. R&E said this is great because there are toilets and showers and fresh water and electricity. For crying out loud they have all that at home, why do we have to drive half way across a continent for that!

But there was a nice big field that I could run around in off the lead, and R&E would throw things for me to chase, great fun! But they can be odd on occasions – every time I did a poop they would put it into a little plastic bag and dump it in a box. What was that all about! Not a nice pressie for the fairies or santa claus or whatever empties the boxes I thought.

Another bonus was spending the night in the same room as R&E - that doesn’t happen at home. So I was good and quiet all through the dark time until R&E got up when they switched on the daylight again. Anyway, after about a year we drove back down the road to home – and toilets and shower and fresh water and electricity! People are funny creatures sometimes.

Corrie

  1. Hi Buttercup, Delighted to hear that you've made friends with Corrie. She's a bit crazy and scruffy, and is known for peeing on the floor if she gets too excited, but if you love her she'll love you back. p.s. let me know if you fancy a trip around France next year. x
